At the moment JoystickXL is limited to wired USB connections, though I like the idea of using it over BLE. A cursory look at the CircuitPython BLE library is promising, but it is ultimately quite a leap from the wired USB stuff I've been working with.

I've got a couple of nRF52840-based boards on order, so when they arrive I'll give it a more serious look.
