F7 (light overlay) not working.

I have ignore spawns to true and it still doesn't work.
restarting pc/minecraft doesn't work either.
currently playing it on project ozone 3.
no optifine/shaders.
faithful resource pack 1.12

I had the same problem and I set all the false settings to true, this worked.
