The -speed (reading speed) switch does not seem to be working. #1

Hi, I've built bard from the github source (cloned recently). It seems that the -speed switch does not seem to affect bard's playback speed. I've tried values from 1.2, 1.1 and then 0.1 to 99 but speed is unchanged.

I've built flite first (again from a recent github clone) and set it as FLITEDIR. I've used the following packages:

libasound2-dev libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-ttf2.0-dev libghc-sdl-ttf-dev libsdl-image1.2-dev
 libsdl-gfx1.2-dev libzip-dev libharfbuzz-dev libharfbuzz-gobject0 libharfbuzz-bin
gir1.2-harfbuzz-0.0 libfreetype6-dev libcairo2-dev libghc-cairo-dev
libghc-sdl-mixer-dev

(any dev package has the non-dev package installed as well)

I'm using gcc 7.20

I've managed to get around the bug by modifying the default stretch values in the flite source but I'd thought I'd report it. Let me know if you need me to try anything or log for any logs.
