More information on how to copy layout and styles #23

Hello. I'm new to Figma and ive been following as closely as I can the documentation in this repository to get figma code connect working. Some stuff is great, but there's something i was not able to figure out:
When i click some of the exambles in the figma and use the visual studio plugin, two boxes appear: LAYOUT and STYLE:
What am I supposed to do with those? Create a div and add those CSS styles to it? Or nothing at all? When doing nothing it seems im breaking something - is this just because the components arent 1:1 (check the icons picture - dont think this is a problem, but should be clarified for starters like myself)

(second image after cloning the repository, and running the application, the icons are texts)
Also, when clicking a nested component that has some code from code connect, the layout and style appear again. Should I do anything?
So to summarize, this issue is regarding more documentation on the topics above, specially targeting people who never used figma.
Background: currently a lot of value can be perceived from this tool in our company, but we need more fully working samples to try to get the design team on board.
