Feature: Add support for global search from any location

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

When I press "Ctrl+F" and I'm in the search bar, pressing "Enter" lets me search the local folder. On the other hand, there's no easily accessible hotkey that allows me to search more broadly. I want to be able to press "Shift+Enter" to start a global search. That would make it faster to start a global search when I need it.

Requirements

• Create code that starts a global search with the text in the search field as input
• Bind the "Shift+Enter" hotkey to it when the focus in on the search field.

Thanks for the feedback, enter does start a global search. If you just type in the search bar then it does a local search

@ChristianKleineidam can you clarify if by 'global' you mean the entire drive, or to include sub folders of the current location?

I mean what Windows Explorer calls "Search this PC" with global but searching a specific drive would also be helpful.

Basically, I want something that I can use when I'm searching something where I don't know where it is.

You can search on the home page and press enter to search everywhere or in the root of a drive to just do that one

Yes, that means I need to manually navigate first to the home page. If I could just press "Shift+Enter" in the search box to get that functionality from everywhere, it would be faster.
