Problem with adding Tesla without external charger

I managed to install the SolarCharger plugin to HA. Problem is I don't find how I can add the Tesla that is just using a normal standard Tesla plug-in charger. Is that described somewhere?

Is this question for evSolarCharger Blueprint or SolarCharger HA integration ? You are asking this in the evSolarCharger discussion.

I recommend using SolarCharger HA integration. evSolarCharger Blueprint is no longer supported.

To answer your question, the standard Tesla plug-in charger is a dump charger which we cannot control directly. What we are controlling is the Tesla car itself.

To control the Tesla car, you need to install one of the following,

Tesla Custom Integration v3.20.4 (to control charging Tesla via Tesla cloud).
Tesla BLE MQTT docker: Local control using Tesla BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) on MQTT docker device.
ESPHome Tesla BLE v2026.2.1 and above: Local control using Tesla BLE on Home Assistant ESPHome device.
OCPP: Local control of an OCPP compliant charger.
Telsa Fleet
Tessie

Which one you choose depends on your circumstances. Once installed and confirmed working, then you just need to add it as a charger in SolarCharger.

I am aware that this works with talking to the Tesla directly.

A few things to correct:

1. I did use SolarCharger (and not evSolarcharger). I just by accident posted it in the wrong project, sorry about that.
2. I have installed the Teslametry integration succesfully. The problem is that the Tesla does not show up as "charger". But I see now that that one is not mentioned in the list of compatible intergrations. Can you confirm that using Teslametry it is impossible to make it charge?

I was wrongly assuming that Teslametry was (in the backend) the same than Tessie. So I will first try to add it using one of the mentioned supported options and then see if it shows up as a charger.

OK, now I see where the confusion comes from. The option I tried was Tesla fleet and it says options to host public key file is Fleekey.net. And there at the bottom of the page it mentions "Teslametry is the easy way to get real-time data into HA". I'll try adding it again or adding it in a different way.

I have Tesla Fleet, and its working, but is not showing up on the charger list, any idea what can be wrong ?

Interesting! Domain name might have changed? I see the domain name as tesla_fleet. I thought it was tesla before.
