So, reading that this and that was deprecated, I stumbled over your image.
Installed on Pi 4B, 2 MB, started.
- Asked for new user, caught in loop until I enter "pi" as a user.
- Would not start anything, nothing was discovered in my HA server. Nothing in user directory of pi, was lost.
Used preceding version (1.0?).
- Installed, fired up.
- Discovered in HA, was happy, wake word would not work though.
- Started alsamixer on satellite and turned up input volume.
- It does work so some extend now.
I'm still lost, as I'm not to familiar with linux, but would like to see the input level of the microphone somehow.
But, main point I'm making: The latest release just does not work (for me, that is, pi 4b, 2gb, 2michat picompose version), it is not discovered by HA.
There could also be some more details on how to deploy it. To burn the image onto an sd was more guessing than knowing. Maybe it could be clarified, that the link does not lead to PICOMPOSE, but to the picompose image of the linux voice assistant?
Still I'm thankful, that someone made that image, though!

I'd appreciate some hints on how to find the correct level of gain / input etc. for my 2michat though.
