Placeholder value not updating dynamically

Thank you for this component - very handy. My implementation passes localized placeholder values in international languages. However the placeholder value doesn't get updated when user switches the language in my UI. Please advise what I need to change to get this working. Happy to share more details as advised. Thank you.
