Part labels cannot be moved after lowering part #4283
Description
Current Behaviour
Labels of a part cannot be moved any more performing certain actions.
The file attached is the base to the actions and one of the actions is described in detail in the Steps to Reproduce section.
The actions I figured so far for
Top mounted components:
- Send any of the buttons either to the back or backward
- Send the PCB either to the front or forward
Bottom mounted components:
- Send any of the buttons in any direction
Build:
Version 1.0.6 (CD-2239-0-04e5bb02 2025-10-07) 64 [Qt 6.5.3]
Operating System:
Windows 10 - 22H2
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a new sketch
- Go to the PCB view (view from above and both layers)
- Place a pushbotton or any other part onto the PCB
- Select the part and drag the label inside the part boundaries
- Label at this point still can be selected and dragged
- Right click the part and either select "Send backward" or "Send to Back"
(The label color should now be slight grey) - Label cannot be selected any more
Expected Behaviour
The label is always selectable no mater I lower or raise the component.
Temporary fix
Select the part and delete it, then undo. This restores the labels position "above" the component.
Suggestion
- Add label position coordinates into the Inspector
