Automatic responses

I sometimes have the need to create sort of a dialog - after connecting I send A, device responds with B, I send C, etc.

I was thinking how to implement this in NinjaTerm and probably the easiest way would be to configure macros to be sent automatically after connecting or when a certain message is received.

Hi @AndreKR , interesting idea! At some point if you need complicated logic it's better to write a Python script or similar to talk over serial rather than use NinjaTerm. But I think this might be common enough and generic enough to warrant adding to the macros. If the macros had a "send on RX data" option, would it be ok to match against a basic string that you enter, possibly with support for \r and \n also?

The match should support hex I guess for binary protocols and then you can just enter 0A and 0D for \r and \n.
