PRIDE
Pride shows up as an exaggerated sense of self-worth that disrupts your decision-making process and limits your ability to learn and be corrected by others. When pride is involved in a person's or group’s actions, they tend to over-valuate their own capabilities, disregard feedback from others, and disregard evidence that opposes their sense of self
This pattern of behaviour frequently leads to subpar decision-making and refusal to react to corrective feedback, therefore repeated failures happen for the same reason across personal relationships, social relationships, and in the political arena. In general, pride can masquerade itself as a character trait of strength or conviction and therefore is very hard for prideful individuals or groups to be able to see it in themselves
