Automatic registry #278

I think there might be a nicer setup that automatically registers runs based on the config files saved in the repo, so we didn't have to manually put things in the registry.
I think I'm also willing to throw out the canonical_run parts of the registry, and the metrics that use those, because we don't really look at them afaik. I guess they're used in tests, but maybe we could run tests based on the config files, a la #92.
