Start simple. You have your QR code wrong. The current code will sleep until sunrise, set a bunch of unnecessary things (the camera remembers these settings), start recording, and then end after sunset. I don't think that's what you want. You're also doing bizarre things with a boot script, saving temporary coordinates when you should be just setting your coordinates, once as a permanent thing. This doesn't require a boot script at all. Was a lot of this a chatbot hallucination? Only do the things that you would have done if you were manually operating the camera. |

This is the only command you need to get started: !r-2400N!S!5400E!1R
This is all it does. No boot command, no settings. Just have the camera default to timelapse, and set you timelapse (better night lapse) as you need. |

Hi everyone,
I need some help with GoPro Labs QR code settings on my HERO13 Black. I’ve been trying to configure this for days, but I can't get the timing or the upload right.
The Goal: I want the camera to start recording 40 minutes before sunrise and stop 50 minutes after sunrise every day.
The Problem with Recording: I know a GPS lock is required, and the camera has one. However, when I use the online QR generator, the camera starts recording at sunset instead of sunrise and continues indefinitely (it doesn't stop). If I set it to start 40 minutes before sunrise, it seems I have to manually add the day length (e.g., "record for 12 hours"), which means I would have to update the QR code every day as the day length changes. I want this to be automated based on the sunrise calculation.
The Problem with Cloud Upload: The camera is connected to a 24/7 external power source and does not have a battery inside. It has access to a stable Wi-Fi connection (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz). Even though I can trigger a manual upload via the Quik app without any issues, I cannot get the camera to automatically upload the footage to the GoPro Cloud after these scheduled recordings are finished.
Crucial Context: I need this to work flawlessly by July when the days here last about 18 hours. During that time, I will be traveling in other parts of the world, so I need to be able to download these videos remotely every single day. I won't have physical access to the camera to change settings or manually start uploads. It has to be a fully autonomous loop.
My setup:
Camera: HERO13 Black
Power: Permanent external power (No internal battery)
Network: Stable Wi-Fi/5G
How can I format the QR code command so that it triggers correctly relative to sunrise (with a specific duration) and initiates an upload immediately after the session ends?
Thanks in advance for the help!
