Matplotlib issues

I can change the line style in Matplotlib, but the style resets immediately to the default upon closing the dialog box.

I fixed the dependencies needed to allow matplotlib 3 in #30, but still have this bug with the style option. It's likely other improvements are possible, but I think I will just stick to this one issue for the time being.
