In Scribus, words get mashed together

With default settings in Scribus, Gregorio sometimes mashes words together such that the space between words is about the same as the space between syllables. In the end, it just looks like a block of text, and is not very legible. it does not happen all the time to every word, but it happens often enough to be an issue.

I am using the latest version of Gregorio available in TeX Live in Scribus 1.6.5 on Windows 11.

Please provide a picture of what you mean. A MWE to produce the picture would also be very useful.

Here is what the default output looks like (see photo). The space between syllables is often the same as the space between words, or very nearly.

Note that I did change the font to EB Garamond. I should also add that this is on A5-sized paper.

I, personally, find that perfectly legible, so you're going to have to explain in more detail what you find wrong with it.

Looking at various editions of chant, there is often more spacing between words (but not much). And people who are not always used to gregorian chant and Latin will be looking at this, so it needs to be legible. Anyways, I fixed it manually, but it just seems that the default spacing mashes everything together.
