Getting LogicAnalyzer 6.0 working!

As usual I find myself going around & around in circles!

Hardware: LogicAnalyzer v6.0 PCB using a PICO2W device.
Firmware: logic-analyzer-firmware_v6.5.1_BOARD_PICO_2_W_WIFI.uf2
Software: logicanalyzer_6.5.0-win-x64
Python: python-3.12.9-amd64
Sigrok: Sigrok cli x86 64bit installer [20250318].exe
O/S: Windows 10

After much frustration (due to Python), LogicAnalyzer_6.5.0 starts up without any error messages and I can detect and connect to my hardware via USB.

HOWEVER

If I try to set up any kind of capture, I get the following error message pop-up after pressing 'Accept' in 'Capture Settings':
'Device reported error starting capture. Restart the device and try again.'

I cannot get past this point. (How is the device 'restarted' exactly?)

I think this may be something to do with the Sigrok drivers which I have installed on my PC but not entirely sure if they are actually being used if that makes sense?

Any help or pointers much appreciated!

same issues here, can not load propertly 6.5 alwys stucked on sigrok installation (even same installation as underwurlde666 ). Any tip?

Hello, I am also stuck. "Cannot load sigrok decoders" when program opens. Installed various versions of python, direct and from windows store. Created python.cfg and with path to various locations of python versions .dll and still no luck. PythonInitLog says:

I don't know where "F:\LogicAnalyzerRepo\Software\LogicAnalyzer\LogicAnalyzer\SigrokDecoderBridge" exists, I don't have an F partition in my computer!

I am using windows 10 with all-in-one_6.0.0.1-win-x64 and a pico2 2350. I installed python 314, my config file is correct.
Maybe its the firmware in my device? I haven't been able to find any compiled firmware. I am tried to compile the firmware but there were lots of errors, compile failed. hopefully someone can upload working firmware.

Chek the error log, is pretty clear...

Error initializing python engine: Python ABI v3.14.2 is not supported

Use python 3.13.

The firmwares are all on the "Releases" section.

Thank you for responding quickly. Yes after fighting with the software for two days, I tried other versions of python and did get it to work (however not consistently) and the capture is not accurate at all. I tried to capture a 1 MHz square wave with a 50% duty cycle just to test the device but it was not very accurate. I think I am going to return the device and stick with my Saleae. It works 100% of the time without any effort. I only wish Saleae offered a 24 pin device.

I do appreciate the effort, however this device is not for me. I am finding the software very slow and buggy.
Maybe if it worked with the saleae or sigrok software.

Oh, is one of the chinese copies, those work like crap :)

Also, if you have compiled the firmware yourself probably is not properly configured, best is to get one of the releases, it has a precision of 10ns.

I just bought a PICO2 based logic analyser. I have installed the logic analyser without problems, except I see the message about the Python DLL. I read the above and after installing 3.14, deleted and installed 3.13. I edited the python.cfg and the DLL is found. I get the exact same error ".... at SigrokDecoderBridge.SigrokPythonEngine.EnsureInitialized() in F:\LogicAnalyzerRepo\Software\LogicAnalyzer\LogicAnalyzer\SigrokDecoderBridge\SigrokPythonEngine.cs:line 99" as reported above.

I will dig around but I struggle with anything Python related!
