Fix/refactor issues reported by SpotBugs plugin

MR adding JDK 17 support (#172) bumps also version of the spotbugs plugin., that is reporting ~ 700 errors in the TS. Mentioned MR disables failing on error, however the issues reported by the plugin should be analyzed or fixed.
