Description
Regular household switches do not require the neutral line to be fed into the box, they only break the circuit to the load on the live line. My circuit design needs a constant 120V supply and therefore needs the neutral line present to work. Possible fix is to use the ground line as a replacement. Need to research if this is how current smart switches function, as this problem would not be exclusive to me.
Ground line current would be maximum of about 100mA (30mA typical).
*This circuit will still work in existing outlet boxes, but as noted may not always work inside a switch box.
