Roadmap discussion & Action Items

I'm interested in jumping in on this project to advance the capabilities. After using the free version of PTP Track Hound v2 (TH) and finding it missing features, I'd like to put some effort into this project.

Do you have a list of features you are actively working on or a prioritized list?

I've already made updates to carry vlan_id through to time* structures and displays, along with adding distance from PTT/GM. I have features I'm interested in working through for contribution:

• PTPv1 for us in Dante networks and allow full tracing back to PTPv1 PTT/GMs.
• Scopes, similar to TH, to separate clock domains for filtering and statistics.
• Identification of boundary clocks.
• Management Messages, which goes along with some of the metrics on the list.
• Device identification beyond OUI. Monitoring of mDNS and SSDP combined with other direct discovery methods that are available for typical PTP devices.
• Descriptive information with backing datastore (devices, VLAN's, etc) that can be set on the CLI to support multiple environments.
• Anomaly detection and logging (part of your list).

Please advise if this discussion area is the best place to continue this or if there is a more preferred method.

Thank you for sharing that list, which looks super interesting! We should probably break out the items into individual discussions once we want to start working on them. WDYT?
