Goal

Turn the core into a proper long-running daemon service.

Scope

• define daemon lifecycle and background runtime behavior
• adapt CLI commands to operate as a frontend and admin surface
• support service-oriented start, stop, status, and reconnect flows
• preserve contract compatibility for UI and future web clients

Done When

• core can run as a managed background service
• CLI is useful for daemon administration
• persistent runtime behavior is documented and testable
