CO2-Emissions associated to biogas flaring and valorization #482

@Anveizaga

Description

@Anveizaga

CO2 emissions from flared or used biogas should not be taken into account

From Peru: In the output wwt_KPI_GHG_biog, CO2 emissions are displayed. This was done by checking the associated input variables wwt_KPI_GHG_biog_flared and wwt_KPI_GHG_biog_valorized.

According to the IPCC, the GWP assigned to methane emissions from fossil fuels would be higher. In this case, burning the methane would reduce to GWP 1 and 2, corresponding to the CO2-emission of non-biogenic origin. However, since we are only talking about methane emissions of biogenic origin, we should work with the GWP of 34, that would be reduced to zero in case of burning.
