Make a release on PyPI

To be able to ship inftools together with infretis with AMS2026, we would really need a release of inftools. Doesn't need to be finished/stable/tested/anything, call it inftools 0.0.1 if you wish. We just need something on PyPI that has a version number so that we can build wheels for it and track future updates.

Is this feasible within a week or two?

Thanks, seems to do the trick in a quick test. Final verdict will follow after the weekend once we integrate it into our build pipeline (I don't expect surprises there).

So there were some mild surprises on the infretis side (which we also updated to the new 2026.1 release together with adding inftools), my proposed fixes are in infretis/infretis#204

These fixes require an updated infretis release to work for you, right?

Yes, it would be great if we could eventually get a 2026.1.1 (or whatever you want to call it) with this included. But if you're able to cut a release relatively quickly, it might be best to wait until mid next week before you do it, just so you don't have to do it twice in case more fixes are needed. I can keep testing with my modified version until then.

Alright, we can make another release after you’ve had time to test further. Making the release should be a very quick process.

One more fix is in infretis/infretis#205. Once that makes it in, we would really appreciate an updated release.
