VA-API / Using both Intel implementations

Hi,

it's more a question and not an issue. As an owner of a Thinkpad t440p (Hashwell), I have two possible implementations i965 and hybrid. hybrid has exactly the codec that i965 is lacking of - VP8 and VP9. Is there a way to use both?
If I set no LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME, then it will be i965 used I think.

yes, we have a map between KMD and UMD, so when the KMD is i915, it will automatically search iHD or i965.
you want to select driver without a env variable , maybe you could call vaSetDriverName from upper layer
