LaTeX2AI cannot find the linked file

Plugin version: v1.1.0

When reopening the file, the following message appears:

"LaTeX2AI cannot find the linked file 'main LaTeX2AI 3f8615506b647d97.pdf'. Choose 'Replace' to select another file, or choose 'Ignore' to keep the
link unchanged."

This issue causes the LaTeX content in the file to disappear.

@xieyiqun884886 thanks for posting this, this should not happen. A few things you can try:

• Redo all LaTeX2AI labels inside the document
• Set the option “ Local "links" directory (legacy option)”
• Use an older version of LaTeX2AI

Thanks so much for your quick reply to my GitHub issue! I tried your three solutions: the first didn’t work, I couldn’t do the second, but downgrading the version (the third one) fixed my problem. Really appreciate your help and professionalism!

Hello, developer. After some exploration this morning, I found that the issue occurred because I changed the name. For example, if I change the name of "x" as shown below but leave the name of "o y" unchanged, then "x" will lose its link.

Thanks for the detailed report. I think the issue is, that you rename your item in Illustrator. The plug-in always assumes that its labels have a name starting with “LaTeX2AI”, otherwise it does not track them. You can change the name to “LaTeX2AI_label_x”. That should work, also with the newest version. Could you please confirm?
