something like that would work. One major problem I see with readify right now is that I use instapaper exactly the same way, and it has the ability for me to read things elsewhere. .. Obviously there's no point reinventing the entire wheel though... or maybe there is. I don't know.

I don't really imagine it as a readability / instapaper thing. I see it more as incidental hacker news. Instapaper could easily feed this system too. But by entering a link and a quite thought on whether you liked it or simply read it and didn't care is neat info.

From there a conversation could take place but instead of the stream being mapped to users I figure it will be mapped to links. That's how it would end up feeling like hacker news.

I'm not sure if instapaper's social network thoughts will replace this. They don't seem to have developed them much.
