I checked current main. There is already a built-in opencli web read <url> command for page-to-Markdown export, and there is also active work on making the saved file path clearer in command output.

So the remaining problem sounds narrower than a brand-new generic downloader.

Can you share:

• the exact opencli web read ... command you ran
• the full error output
• whether the failure is file creation, extraction quality, or the custom adapter workflow itself

That would make it much easier to tell whether this should be a bug on the existing web read flow, a docs gap, or a separate feature request.
