Build not possible on OS X Mountain Lion

Running sh autogen.sh on OSX Mountain Lion results in the following error:

    configure.ac:53: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_DISABLE_STATIC

    autoreconf: /usr/local/Cellar/autoconf/2.69/bin/autoconf failed with exit status: 1

Hello Thomas,

Do you have libtool installed? The build required GNU libtool 2.2 to build.

I use Mac OS X 10.8.2 (= Mt Lion), Xcode 4.5.1, GNU autoconf 2.68, automake 1.11.2 and libtool 2.2.10. In fact these are the versions built by the "extra/tools" package in the main vlc tree.
