Is it actually possible to have several layouts too in the component, like in the modules? |

Yes, see https://docs.joomla.org/J4.x:Template_Layouts We would need to maintain backward compatibility at a minimum and only apply it to new installations. We need to run simulation tests to decide if layouts are a solution for the structure. How many users are using JEM? How many are using default or responsive? The idea seems easy, but inheritance and migration compatibility carry a lot of weight. If we had more money to hire people, that would be a different story, but we're just a small team :-( For me, this is a changes with low priority. |

I want to discuss:
We offer two layouts:
The old legacy layout with tables
And the new responsive layout with two different looks (modern look and tablelike look).
I propose to finish the legacy layout and to use instead only the tablelike look and the modern look.
What are you thinking?
