HOW TO I EDIT THE FILES APP FILES ON TRUENAS?

Hi sorry if this is the wrong place but I've now spent hours trying to figure out how to simply change some of the default css. I found the file(s) in question and figured out how to modify them via the TrueNAS app shell CLI, but NO CHANGES STICK. HOW DO I DEPLOY WITH CHANGES???
