There are duplicate folders from my struggles to pick the correct Code version, but the current configuration folder sizes are.
Code - OSS: 150 MB
vscode: 179 MB
Code: 468 MB
Presumably because lots of binary files and extensions are being included here.
I don't have code configured in any meaningful way, so I am currently excluding everything from backups and version control. I would like to figure out something better before I set up a VSCode environment while forgetting that I am not backing it up. I will start by checking the Code documentation for ways of better separating application from configuration files better, but this probably means developing a list of Code files to exclude while accepting that as the Code configuration directory changes, I will start to slowly add weird binary files to my backup and version control systems.
If I were to ever start using VSCode as my primary editor, it might be worth it to just backup everything here.
