Add keydb.cfg to container?

So I'm trying to rip the new Wonka 4K and I'm reading that I need an updated keydb.cfg for the encryption on the disk. Problem is I can't find anywhere in the container /config where that file is stored.

Anyone know how to update this inside the container?

MakeMKV does not use a keydb.cfg file, the decryption keys are downloaded automatically if available, if not you have to submit the dump created by MakeMKV. look on makemkv.com forum all the info you need is there

Adding the keydb.cfg to my non docker version of makemkv allowed me to rip wonka 4k and the container version still won't do it.

THERE IS NO NEED TO USE A KEYDB.CFG FILE!!!! Sounds like you have it in the wrong folder

Yell if you want to. I added keydb.cfg to the /appdata/config/data folder in my makemkv container and now I can rip Wonka on my MakeMKV container.

OR, you could of just submitted the dump file (which would of made the decryption available to all) and waited for mike to update the database.
but good for you you got it decrypted!!!

i bet you are one of those that will not buy a license for MakeMKV and then complains when it expires!

Within the settings.conf file there’s a property for app data directory, that’s the location where KEYDB.cfg should be saved.
