It doesn't seem to have an issue with the setup. Maybe you can share the container's log ( |

I've seen numerous posts about issues with docker and makemkv which have not led me to a solution. I was hoping someone would assist in figuring out what the problem is with my setup. I'm tried multiple options which I will explain below:
HARDWARE
LinqStation N1
BD-ROM
BD-RE BU40N
Revision: 1.03
LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-enabled)
Firmware version: 1.03
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes
The device is seen in MAKEMKV and I passed /dev/sr0 and /dev/sg2 through to the container:
[4:0:0:0] cd/dvd HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU40N 1.03 /dev/sr0 /dev/sg2
KEY
I did purchase a key to contribute, but I also tried BETA and it doesn't work either.
NETWORK
I've tried bridge, host, and custom to give it it's own IP on the network. Internet access is enabled.
SECURITY
I have disabled NextDNS and region blocking on my network (use Unifi + NextDNS)
JAVA
By default the JAVA location is blank. I read that JAVA should be included with the image, but I also tried setting it to "/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8-openjdk/bin/java" with no luck.
USER
I have tried leaving the default UID and GID but also tried creating a user named "makemkv" and using it's UID and GID in the docker config. I made sure to give the user makemkv read/write access to this share and all directories. Current config has UID to 1000 and GID to 100 which was identified with shell.
UMASK is left at default of 0000
PATHS
Tried multiple but currently
Storage: /mnt/user/makemkv/storage
Output: /mnt/user/makemkv/output
Config: /mnt/user/makemkv/config
RESULT
Something is wrong with the key. I can see the "_private_data.tar" file download which is showing 5.67MB. I can plug this into Windows and see this same file and size being downloaded. I have even attempted to copy this file from Windows to linux, but it continues to not decrypt the rip the movies.
The errors are a bunch of SCSI errors but the last few lines are:
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT PRESENT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A40..002000800 to device 'SG:dev_21:2'
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SG:dev_21:2'
