Return the DID's Gaia HUB url in the resolved DID Document

As part of the resolution process, the DID is mapped to a BNS name, and the associated public keys are fetched and verified (via the user's Gaia hub).

Given that the Gaia hub URL is available during resolution, it can be included in the returned DID document (as a service block).

Given an example zone file (e.g. the one defined here)

If we look at the second entry (enavarrocollin.id.blockstack), the associated UR resource record is https://gaia.blockstack.org/hub/13veta52Ct9cvjAneE3wWErhfHV9TiDWH3/profile.json

I was under the assumption that the user's Gaia hub URL would then be https://gaia.blockstack.org/hub/13veta52Ct9cvjAneE3wWErhfHV9TiDWH3. (i.e. the URI record with the profile.json part removed).

But according to the documentation here, the gaiaHubUrl property should be extracted from the user's profile (retrieved from the aforementioned URL).

It seems to include no such property.

Is the profile example above an outlier? What would be the correct / generic approach to fetch the correct URL?

The documentation is only referring to a file of a particular app. The gaia hub url for an app is what you find in the appsMeta/storage (or apps for old apps as fallback) section.

The entry of api/gaiaHubUrl could be used in the service block of the DID document, however, that url is not very useful for the user resolving a DID because it requires the private key of the user. Users can't write on other users' gaia hubs. There is a proposal for a Gaia inbox that would allow to write into users' gaia hub, but it does not exist (yet?)
