RESOLUTION:
type in: docker login
user your USERID not email and then password
CLI does not like an email address.

Thanks for sharing! I haven’t encountered this myself but can see how this might happen. Could you open a PR to add this in a “Troubleshooting” section at the bottom of the readme?
