Anyone having trouble sending firmware to LPP using Windows and MIDI-OX?

Sorry, this is a little off topic, but I think I've tried everything. I can not get the LLP to acknowledge it is being sent firmware via sysex. I tried this on two computers and then a third which is only a few weeks old and has no other MIDI software installed. So, I installed MIDI-OX and tried to send first of all the stock firmware which I downloaded from the Resources directory. The LLP just sits there with the top 16 buttons and three others lit but no sign of life.

I did notice that MIDI-OX reports that there are 7 data errors in the file if I first load it into the Command window and then run "Check data".

Has anyone else had to tweak things to get this working?

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. I can't get to my Windows machine to test this right now, so I may not be much help. Does the Launchpad at least show up as a destination in MIDI-OX, or in software like a DAW? There was this issue dvhdr/launchpad-pro#9 where Windows doesn't recognize the Open Firmware as a midi device at all, but that didn't effect the bootloader mode.

Thanks, I found that the firmware files I downloaded numerous times from Github were corrupt. This is strange as I have never had such a consistent run of bad downloads. A bit of Googling came up with search results of similar problems. This was by clicking the specific file in the resources folder; downloading the zip of the project worked though.

Perhaps we should use checksums as it would remove one of the variables? MIDI-Ox has some config options that I spent ages playing with.
