The auto-discovery part is nice when it works, but it’s also the bit I’d worry about most over time.
If Codex changes its local state layout, or I end up with multiple plausible DB files on one machine, I’d want the tool to get a lot more explicit before any write mode.
Would love to see:
a visible compatibility check for expected tables / columns
a manual DB picker or override path
a clearer “this DB layout looks unknown” message
Feels like a pretty important guardrail if this is meant to stay useful across future Codex updates.
