MacOS: cannot paste into the Autologin/NewAccount screen

Hey, so I have a mac laptop and windows PC, so often I want to do the galaxy gates in front of TV or somat, but my username has all those dodgy characters and the Mac client doesn’t allow you to paste into the password manager thing… is that stored in plaintext somewhere so I could edit with a text editor or something??

the windows version doesn’t have this problem, just Mac - for now I have to get around it by logging into my email and copying my username into the login box every time I want to use it
