Boss respawns without cooldown after killing

Hello! After recent boss update, problem didn't disappear, still after killing a boss it respawns instantly 1.21.11 Leaf Version.

What spawn rule type are you using - RESPAWN_AFTER_DEATH or LOCATION_PERIOD? And can you share the rule's YAML config? Also note "Leaf" is an unofficial fork - if this only happens on Leaf and not on Paper, it's likely their issue.

That's the boss file, I need the spawn rule file. It's in Boss/spawning/ folder - send me the YAML for the rule that respawns this boss (should be RESPAWN_AFTER_DEATH type with a Delay key).

That's the same boss file again. I need the spawn rule file - it's in a different folder: Boss/spawning/ (not Boss/bosses/). Look for a .yml file there with Type: RESPAWN_AFTER_DEATH inside.

If you don't have any file in Boss/spawning/, then nothing in Boss is respawning your boss - something else on your server is doing it. In that case please share your full /plugins list.

Thanks. This rule has Delay: 5 hours and Type: LOCATION_PERIOD, so it can only spawn the boss at most once every 5 hours - it physically cannot respawn instantly.

A few questions:

1. How fast is "instantly" - seconds, minutes? Time it next time it happens.
2. Do you have other spawn rule files in Boss/spawning/? Send me the whole folder zipped, not just one file.
3. Send your full /plugins list - something like MythicMobs, EliteMobs, or a custom script could be respawning the entity.

Quickest way to find the culprit: rename your Boss/spawning/ folder to spawning_off and restart the server. Kill the boss again.

• If it still respawns instantly → Boss isn't doing it, something else on your server is (a script, scheduler, or another plugin spawning custom mobs).
• If it stops respawning → it's a Boss bug and I'll dig into the zip you sent.

Let me know which one happens.

But we have only spawnrules folder so should we rename it ?

Also in reality boss has 6k hp but it shows 17k + hp, i thinks this is boss's plugin's bug

What did the screenshot show - did the boss still respawn after you renamed spawnrules to spawnrules_off and restarted? I need a clear yes/no on that test.

For the HP mismatch (6k configured, 17k+ shown): check your boss YAML for an Attributes: section with GENERIC_MAX_HEALTH or MAX_HEALTH - that overrides the Health: key. Also check if any other plugin (MythicMobs, a bossbar plugin, etc.) is displaying that HP number, because if something else is spawning/managing this entity it would also explain the instant respawn.

Please confirm the rename test result so I know which direction to look.

Okay i made spawnrules_off and restarted server and then i killed boss and it didin't respawn
