I have been using the YAOS plugin for several days and encountered two synchronization issues:
- Local changes to .base files being reverted
- Intermittent failures when syncing files added via Web Clipper on iOS
- Issue: .base File Modifications Disappearing
Context:
I modified a file named youtube.base on my PC to add a new Table View layout and assigned a new attribute TOPIC to all related .md files.
What not work:
Initially, the changes appeared to sync to iOS correctly. However, the next day, after opening Obsidian on PC, the new layout in the youtube.base file had completely disappeared.
What work:
The metadata changes (the TOPIC attribute) in the individual .md files remained intact; only the layout configuration within the .base file was lost.
Issue 2: Bulk File Sync Failure (Web Clipper)
Context:
When adding multiple articles to Obsidian on iOS using the Web Clipper, the sync to PC is inconsistent.
What not work:
One article fail to appear on the PC.
What Works:
If I manually rename the missing file on the iOS device, it triggers a sync and the file successfully appears on the PC.
Environment
OS: iOS / Windows PC
YAOS version: v1.6.0
