HELP: Greazeweazle 4.1 Error GetFluxStatus: No Index

Hi, my greazeweazle 4.1 was working out of the box with a Mitsumi 3.5" floppy drive from akai mpc 2000XL sampler ...but after a month laying around idle its gives error : **** FATAL ERROR:
Cannot find the Greaseweazle device** """ on both Mac and PC Win 10
all cables are connected as usual and greazeweazle takes a usb power from the MAC/PC as before and drive powers up and gives a sound when connecting USB just like before , what could have happened ... i am lost, any ideas ?

Does the Greaseweazle appear in Device Manager in Windows, or in USB device list on MacOS's System Report?

same straight ribbon cable from the AKAI MPC drive nothing changed , everything worked before.
the only difference is when i connect the greazeweasle with the drive to a USB on Macbook or PC it powers up with a soft drive noise for a sec ( like before) BUT when i put the floppy into it it makes loud drive noise for a sec and then nothing happens i don't remember that short loud noise before

Can you hear the drive actually spin up on gw rpm? Have you tried the --drive=0 and --drive=1 parameters?

if i enter gw rpm .. drive is not spinning its a standard IBM PC drive type 3.5" from AKAI MPC200XL from around 1999-2001
it was spinning month ago when i fist was running greaseweasle tests and made some .HFE images from my EMU SP1200 sampler floppy disks.
gw rpm --drive=b
Command Failed: GetFluxStatus: No Index

i can try another two diskdrives ( one from another MPC2000xl and an original floppy disk drive from EMU SP1200 that is from mid 90s )

Sure. Also try all --drive= combos: --drive=0, --drive=1, --drive=a, --drive=b

i've tried all those options of this drive , same error . its been working with --drive=b option before though .. puzzled
going to try other drives

something must have happened with greaseweasle board itself ...
is there a way to diagnose it and or reset to a default value . ive tried gw reset .. nothing changed.

Sounds like it's trotters up with a hardware fault. You can return it to me for investigation if you like.
