I'm developing a project that needs integration with SinricPro, it's going to be fixed in a place with difficult access where Wifi networks don't reach the place, and all I have is an Ethernet Shield W5100 and an Arduino Uno!

If it works, it would be perfect and save a lot of lives around here, since it's a low-cost project focused on helping small towns

I'm sorry that UNO+W5100 is not supported.

I suggest you use another better, even cheaper

1. RP2040+(W5500 or W5100S), such as W5100S-EVB-PICO, W5500-EVB-PICO

2. ESP32+W5500
3. ESP8266+W5500

Most components listed as supported in your library are mega expensive here in Brazil. And the intention of the project is to be low cost, because city halls and state datacenters will use it!

I just realized that if I can't use an Arduino AVR (Nano, Leonardo, Uno, Mega) with this ethernet shield to cut costs, the only low-cost solution is to use an ESP01 with a low-cost Ethernet module!

I would need a port expander like an MCP23016 or something and an Ethernet module

Which ethernet module do you recommend for the ESP01 and is it supported?

I don't think ESP01 has enough pins to run the SPI-based Ethernet, unless you have some way to extract more pins out. Unless you use some expensive Serial-to-Ethernet module.

I'm surprised that even City Halls, especially Data-Centers have no WiFi !!!

Is that possible to just use some extra local WiFi routers with Ethernet connections to Internet, instead of so many Ethernet small systems ?

Anyway. this is not related to this library anymore. I suggest you post on Arduino Forum to ask many experts there the final best solution.

in theory works, you will need miso,mosi,clk
gpio02, gpio00,txd, rxd to control the wiznet
but, you will loose the uart (txd, rxd)
a ESP32NOW could help to LOG the status of WIZNET communication
