Vero N7500 support

I have a Vero n7500.
Unfortunately the device info and settings info appear to be different to the other supported radios, although the key BLE characteristic and hopefully protocol(?) appear to be the same.
I have tried patching the device info data, it does get a bit further but then hits the settings data read. which fails.
I am very happy to help, just don't want to duplicate effort! I wrote the RepeaterBook app and would very much like to add support for these radios. Thanks!!!

Hi @zbm2 sorry for the long delay in reply. I don't think these fields are necessarily specific to the N7500, I've just fallen behind with with recent firmware updates.

Have you tried with the latest version in github? I've added those new fields to the DeviceInfo (ref) . What error are you getting in the settings data read?

Hi Dev , I wanted to thank you for this effort regardless if WIP or just basic functionality. I have the N7600 Mobile radio and am appalled at the amount of dependence and routing through China the HT android app entails it would be great to see more localised functionality .

You bet @adsbgreenock-web , I also find it frustrating how many devices are tied to proprietary apps and cloud accounts. I created the benlink library to document the radio protocol so developers could create their own open source apps to interface with the radio.

A really good example is HTCommander -- be sure to check it out if you haven't already!
