Stuck at press any key to dump PCR

Hi there, I am trying to decrypt Bitlocker on Dell Latitude 5480 (funny thing is that I do have a user password, it sadly just doesn't have admin rights so I cannot turn off bitlocker, but can boot and use normaly, also don't have recovery key) running Windows 10

I installed Ubuntu 18.04 inside Vmware Vorkstation 9 and used its efi mode: https://www.computermasters.it/to-enable-uefi-vmware-workstation/ (sadly I don't have any other UEFI capable computer I can install ubuntu in)

After installing Bitleaker per instructions (still in VM), I plug my USB key inside my affected computer and it boots in UEFI with secure boot enabled fine, but then gets stuck at press any key to dump PCR, no matter what key I press, nothing happens afterwards

maybe I did not shut it down properly?

What I did was

1. boot into windows
2. hold power button to shut down
3. press power button and imidiatly hit F12 to select my BitLeaker USB device

What am I doing wrong?
