Spanish Translation

Hi there! I wish to collaborate and make the spanish translation. Do the community think that worths it?
If yes, the I'll start translating.

Hi @ZombieEater, thanks for contributing! Translations are more than welcome! Spanish is a widely spread language so it'll sure be beneficial to have that translation. Thanks again for volunteering.

:-) I wish to test my partial translation but I can't find the language selector in the program O_o (locale folder is ok, but can't change language) Help!

Hi @ZombieEater,

This shouldn't be a problem. Simply follow the instruction on the main page: Translating Pronterface. You need to create the folder structure as described. Depending on how you build your translation you need a folder for the Spanish translation. The ISO country code / folder name is in your case es (defined by ISO 639-1, please see https://pypi.org/project/i18n-iso-countries/).

How do Pronterface find the translation?
The selection is driven by your operating system default language. Pronterface internally search your system language and then try to find the language file pronterface.mo in the folder locale/es folder in case your system language is Spanish. It will fall back to en if there is no translation file accessible.

@DivingDuck thanks.... I'll continue with the translation to the point to be uploaded and reviewed. I expetected to see a "Language" dropdown menu, because my computer is in english, and I use all in english too...bu I'll create another user in my computer to change the settings and test it.

A quick follow up on your issue. Have you finished the Spanish translation and do you want add the translation to Pronterface?
