Input file formats for teltools

Hello,

I see in the code for extract_telomeric_reads.pl that it expects the input to be in bam or fasta format. I was also wondering if the tool can accept fastq format? Also, can the tool accept gzipped files? Lastly, can the tool accept sam files?

It would be nice if you could use any of: .fasta, .fa, .fasta.gz, .fa.gz, .fastq, .fq, .fastq.gz, .fq.gz, .sam, .bam. Thanks for any assistance.

Hi, The tools works with both .fasta, .bam and .fasta.gz files. I think the suggestion to accept fastq files is great, and I will look into it. Thanks!
