math lib (libm) not found when compiling under ubuntu 12.04 #31

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download the source and do a make
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The build complains about missing functions from libm
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.11 and ubuntu 12.04
Please provide any additional information below.
change the makefile to add -lm at the end of the LIBOPTS definition
