Hi, the upstream maintainer of M2Crypto speaking.

We have a real problem with the S/MIME support in M2Crypto—it's one of the library's weakest components.

Would you be open to contributing your S/MIME implementation to replace it? This would give your code a bigger pool of users, and it would finally allow us to fix this long-standing issue.
