DT::datatable only shows header

I tried the latest conflr and I'm unable to get datatables to work correctly. I only get an image with the column names:

have you seen this? Is there a workaround?

this seems to be a problem with my local installation of dt. If I use webshote I get the same

mydt=iris %>% head %>%DT::datatable()
html <- "dtable.html"
saveWidget(mydt, html)
library(webshot)
webshot(html, "dtableSnapshot.png") # you can also export to pdf
