When the velocity is sampled (transected) at each position across the channel, does it provide the surface flow velocity at different water depths/levels?
To estimate the discharge, I need to know the unit area where the velocity is estimated and the alpha coefficient used to convert surface velocity to depth-averaged velocity. What exactly is this unit area, and how is alpha applied? In other words, how can I estimate discharge using PyOpenRiverCam?
