This is actually a losoto issue (revoltek/losoto#96 that I have submitted a fix for), but referencing it here for completeness.
On 8hr LBA calibrator observations the process_losoto_bandpass takes a significant part of the full calibrator pipeline runtime (10hrs) and it's spending all this time doing smoothing and interpolating.
